About Spleven
Spleven is an app for groups that share costs: friends on a trip, flatmates, couples, families. It records who paid what and where, splits a receipt line by line, and shows who owes whom.
Who makes it
Spleven is made by Marbot Apps, an independent developer in Jona, Switzerland. It is not part of a bank or a payment company.
Since 2011
The app started on Android in 2011 as Travel Money, for sharing the costs of a trip. Over the years people used it for flats, couples and families too. In 2026 it got a web app at web.spleven.com, was renamed Spleven in October, and an iPhone app followed the same month. Groups, payments and accounts carried over unchanged, and old invitation links still work.
How it is paid for
Spleven is free, with no ads and no limit on groups or payments. Spleven Plus is an optional purchase that adds receipt scanning by item, the group map, and extra colours and app icons. Plus is what pays for the app.
